The Musicbox

I popped in Musicbox for a set of guitar strings my brother asked me to pick up for him. I had intended on going to GAK, but saw that this shop had opened and thought I’d give it ago.
They sell the expected range of guitars, associated paraphernalia and a number of other instruments, but being a small fledgling business didn’t have the range of a larger establishment. That being said the owner was extremely helpful and a general nice guy.
He was obviously an enthusiastic musician and asked me about my music background etc (sadly, this adds up to about 6 months learning to play the guitar badly in my teens). They stocked the strings I had been tasked to buy and my brother didn’t seem to be upset over the price I paid.
Music lessons are also offered, but I didn’t inquire about what instruments and rates when I was there. I’m probably not the best person to judge on how relevant the prices are to similar shops in Brighton, but the service and demeanor of the owner make me recommend this as a port of call for those more musical than myself.
