AZUZA is a cool coffee shop and takeaway in the Old Almshouse in Bristol. This is an amazing building which looks like a French«Hotel de Ville», it dates from 1701 and the guys that own it have done a great job in restoring it. The outside terrace is great in summer to chill on(and have a smoke) and in the winter it has a very cosy feel inside — worth exploring the upstairs as the ceiling is a real feature. They also have free Wi-Fi which is really handy… I have held the odd meeting upstairs — they can do buffets and tailor them to your requirements. The food and drinks are really good value and they do a Coffee and Muffin deal for £3.25. The coffee has won a gold taste award and it is my favourite in Bristol! The service is always spot on and I for one will be supporting this indie…

This café-bar has the feel of a mediterranean pool-side restaurant, or an outside lounge area in a health spa. Which is peculiar, since it’s right in the middle of quite an ugly bit of the Broadmead shopping centre. I think it has this effect because the huge terrace is raised up a step, and contained by strong wrought iron railings. It’s quite possible to imagine people slobbing about the terrace in bathrobes and flip-flops. It’s a great big café with loads of seating inside, upstairs and outside, and is a fantastic place to come and relax for lunch. Not only does it serve lovely baguettes, fresh sandwiches, and coffee and tea; it’s also got a licence so you can have cool beers or wine out on the terrace. Lovely on a sunny day in Bristol, and cheaper than some of the more upmarket restaurants and cafes in Cabot Circus, Azuza is worth a perusal.

This AZUZA in Broadmead is the fourth to open in the South-West, and quite possibly is the grandest out of the four. Offering good coffee, nice cakes and a great menu, AZUZA is the perect place to escape the hustle and bustle of Broadmead for a few moments peace & quiet. Interestingly, the name AZUZA is a made-up word by the shop’s co-owner who wanted to have the name AZURE to go with the blue theme of the restaurant but couldn’t so came up with AZUZA instead, fact! May i suggest trying their cream tea, it is delicious! As well as being a great place to come and chill out, AZUZA are also able to offer ample space to put on events for businesses, parties, gathering, blahblahblah! The guys really do make a great effort and i love this place!!!

A pretty ‘shwanky’ new resteraunt/café/general chill out place located near the McDonalds exit(Not one in The Mall but oppostie it) of Broadmead. It is relatively newly opened, around November time I believe, and is still in that brilliant phase of wanting to offer some brilliant deals in order to promote the business, which is great for people like me hunting out the bargains! In a rather grand looking building, well semi-grand/most probably very fake, the Azuza cofe shop will give you a very nice coffee, some so wrong, but so very right cakes and a stop off point to escape all the shopping crazyness! I think this place wil be a hit! Mainly because i’ve been coming here since it opened and it hasn’t put me off!
