This is a lovely library set in Bishopsworth. Although may been seen as small compared to some, it offers a first class library service and serves the community well. Good staff as you would expect who have a good, local knowledge of the area and the service they provide. Would recommend a visit if you live or are just visiting the area.

Bishopsworth Library is fairly small, but it’s also fairly well-used by the local community.
Apart from the obvious fiction and non-fiction book-related services, this library has free internet and computer facilities (which you have to book in advance), a small selecton of DVDs for hire (from £1 per week), a few computer taster courses, and a couple of ‘book club’ style reading groups that meet at the library — the friendly adult group meets on the last Monday of each month (6pm), and I’ve seen a Chatterbooks group advertised for 8 to 10 year olds (meets on the third Saturday of the month at 10.30am). During the day the library has activities for babies on some days, and activities for school-aged children during the holidays.
You can also buy local history books and magazines here, covering the history of Hartcliffe and Withywood, which make good presents for older folk who were born and brought up in the area.

Bishopsworth library is pretty small. It has a general fiction section and 1 section bookcases with Graphic Novels, Crime and a tiny sci-fi section. There are some DVD rentals and they do seem to get new releases in.
There is a small seating area and also a computer area. Avoid using the computers at half-term or on a Saturday as the kids playing Farmville on the net are quite annoying if you are trying to work. There are also adult computer literacy classes held her during the week when use of the computers is not available. You will need your pin number to access the computers.
If you are an avid reader, you probably will find the selection rather limiting. However the staff are very friendly and helpful.
