Nothing out of the ordinary, this is very much your typical newsagents. Stocked to the brim with chocolates, sweets, crisps and magazines, there is the usual attempt at promoting healthy snacking with a small grocery section stocking fruit and vegetables. There is a decent selection of alcohol so is a good place to stop-by if you need a bottle of wine or crate of beer. I think that Bobby’s is a little overpriced for what it sells but its only a tiny shop and you get what you would expect from a small newsagents.

Bobby’s is a pretty standard newsagent selling all the standard stuff one would expect from such a proprietor. They have more magazines and newspapers than you can shake a stick at, a wide selection of crisps, chocolates and sweets and some tinned food. There’s dog food, cat food, ready meals and all the other little perks you’d expect and want from a corner shop.
Two little details you probably didn’t know however: the kindly gent behind the counter hasn’t got all moody like some other local shop owners about what posters get put up in his window, so this is a good spot to source flyers for the smaller independent music nights. The second is that this shop is open every day till 11pm and has the finest (if a little bizarre) selection of cork screws and bottle openers — never again will you be kept from your evening tipple by a bottle shaped barrier.

Ah, there’s something so nice about your local (well, not so local for me) Newsagents, good old Bobby’s, he’ll supply me with the paper, I can head in for some boiled sweets if I want a treat, the magazines can entertain me if I have a long train journey/boring day in ahead and his high protien body building drink will enable me to get those pumping viens and massive biceps and triceps that any visitor to the newsaqents is looking for … hang on a second? Something doesn’t seem quite right… I would never have a boring day in!
Local convieniance and open late 7 days a week.
