Bretts

This is the sort of shop that will very soon become obsolete if Tesco outlets continue to multiply. But given that Totterdown’s Tesco Express is located just ten minutes up the road from Brett’s Store, the latter is doing pretty well to still be standing. Boasting a fantastic selection of goods, from fresh fruit and vegetables, to a beautiful spread of flowers, both potted and arranged in bouquets, the shop’s local quality must be a reassuring asset to older folk in the area. Brett’s also stocks a range of grocery products and cooked meats, and even cosmetics such as henna.
So if you’re a community minded soul and happen to be in the area, make your good deed for the day a trip to Brett’s ;)
