CAAAD is a fantastic, locally based project working in conjunction with the Barton Hill Settlement to do something about alcohol and drug abuse in the area. They provide support and information for people with substance abuse issues and their friends and family. They aim to be as accessible as possible and work on the ethos of listening not judging. They offer confidential and free counselling and a drop in service, hepatitis support and art workshops. CAAAD also has a holistic health service providing ear acupuncture, acupressure, reiki and Indian head massage. A volunteer training service exists for people who can learn and commit to the project.
