This was seriously bland.
We went for a Christmas dinner, and, like all the other reviews mention, it was two for one so very reasonable, but the food was like a school dinner before Jamie got hold of the country.
The prawn cocktail was a few very small prawns on a bit of baby jem with some very stale gluten free bread (no butter) on the side.
The main was boil in a bag pre-​frozen veg and dried up turkey, I think I got a potato.
the pudding (cheesecake), was fine. tasty but nothing special.
The staff didn’t clear the table between courses, so with about 20 of us it got pretty crowded…
It was £25 for two people so extremely reasonable, but my school dinners were about £2, so maybe not…
The pub itself was warm and extremely clean and well presented. Very child friendly. This is basically a big clean, bland chain pub with pre frozen meals and a play area. If that’s your thing then this may be a really good one of those.

Lovely pub and restaurant. Main courses are 2 for 1 which makes it an affordable and cheap meal out.
Peak times can get busy and can not book table so before we had to go elsewhere as wait time was too long.
Recently added is an outdoor seating area which is lovely in the hot weather feels like your abroad as it has that feel about it.
My favourite dish is the Mega Sausage Yorkie which I have added photo. Quality of food dishes is very good for the price.

Really nice place with plenty of parking space and a very good menu. Lots of main courses to choose from and their 2 for 1 deal makes it a bargain price.
Service was very good and the food was hot, attractivly presented and properly cooked. The desserts were huge and everyone at a birthday meal with us thought it was excellent.
The only criticism was that the waitress offered to bring the bill when some people had just ordered their desserts — and there was still a birthday cake to serve that we put in the kitchen for them to bring out at the end! And of course a lot of us still wanted coffee etc (And someone remarked that they had been before and they do this a lot) Management please note its not correct to bring the bill until people are finished and it will deter some people from ordering anything else!
However its a great place to eat and we would definately go again

Lovely, clean (and quite spacious) dining — good menu and the real ales are excellent.
Main course 2 for 1 offer is great value and the portions don’t suffer for the cost saving.

Big menu and loads of daily specials. Food is decent quality as well. The real hook is all the main courses are two for the price of one, which is great if there is two, four, six etc of you, not so good if there are three
