After having a wonderful meal at a Giraffe restaurant a couple of days earlier in Bath, I was eager to try this restaurant chain again. Once again, the staff were fantastic and even though the restaurant was packed to the rafters, they were able to fit us in and seated us rather quickly. We had been in England nearly a week and I had yet to have fish and chips. I know, right? So even though I was extremely tempted to have the same dish I had had at the Bath location, I figured I’d give their fish and chips with minty mushy peas a go. Another winner! The mushy peas were absolutely fantastic and I will strive to replicate them now that I am home. The fish was a hefty portion and I likely shouldn’t have scarfed the whole thing down! Although very VERY good, the batter was just a tad too heavy for me and I later regretted not having taken things a little more easy! I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food and service are great — you really can’t go wrong.

Giraffe is always our first choice when going out for a family meal. Our kids can be picky eaters but they always finish their plates here. The menu is quite broad and there’s something for everyone. Will be coming back.

One of many restaurants in cabot’s circus, the food is good, an the service is really friendly, however it is really over priced. I have been there twice, the first time with a voucher. The food was good enough to want to go back. But when I did I realised how expensive it is.

We entered Giraffe, and ordered our food. We passed a FULL hour drinking cocktails, at which point we(somewhat drunkenly) started to wonder where our food was. We were informed at that point that they had lost our order. They offered us the food to take away(no discount offered) and we said no because we were going to the cinema. I told them we would leave and not pay for the 4 cocktails total we’d had. And that was the end of a non-existent eating experience. 2 stars because the manager was polite about the whole thing and our drinks were free. But we were huuuuuuungry.

Never ever dissapointed with this place. Great choice for vegetarians and very fresh and healthy unlike so many chains that are served out of the bag. The staff are always friendly and extremely professional. The chips are probably the best I have ever tasted and the strawberry and lime cider is fab!

One of the many chained restaurants to adorn the top floor of Cabot Circus, Giraffe prides itself as being«family friendly». Two words that send a shiver down the spine of singletons like me. Fortunately the two times I have been in, even though there were children there, they were well behaved and not an overwhelming feature of the restaurant. The food is served quickly and is never disappointing(I heartily recommend the veggie breakfast. Got to love a hearty veggie breakfast). The prices are fair, given the level of service but it’s not the best bargain to be had on the top floor. An all-round pleaser and a very reliable meal out.

Giraffe is one of the dozen or so chain restaurants that arrived in Bristol at the same time as the Cabot Circus shopping centre pitched up it’s tent,(it’s in Cabot Circus that’s why) and has, as far as I could tell, a sort of Mexican theme going on in it’s menu. This is not overt and in many ways it’s just a burger joint, but it is definitely one of the better chain eateries I’ve frequented in my time and one I would certainly go back to. The portions and very large, tasty and everything is cooked from scratch, which is why it is a little more expensive than your typical burger joint and why at times, you have to wait around a little longer than you would normally. Having said that, it is worth the wait and possibly even the extra cash. They have a «Giraffe time» menu between 5 and 7 in the evenings, where you buy a main meal for £6.95, which is a considerable drop from the standard £10 — £13 range they are at other times. I don’t finish work till 7 usually so this is wasted on me, but I would certainly recommend taking advantage of this offer if you can.

Giraffe is one of the better places on the top floor of Cabot Circus. I get a little tired of the other chains around here, but Giraffe seems to retain some kind of dignity about it. With a good décor, mixing african themes and modern interior design, the menu has a a very wide range of styles, from Schnitzel to thai duck stir fry. Unlike some places, though, each dish is really very good, and you get the sense the chefs are well experienced and knowledgeable about each taste — not what you’d expect from a chain. With good breakfasts and excellent cocktails, which you can often cash in on with 2−4−1 deals or the like, it’s an excellent stop off or destination in Cabot Circus.

One of the new restaurants on the 3rd floor of Cabot Circus, this is part of a chain but still retains a small group feel. The staff are very friendly and the promised ‘world music’ was thankfully low-key as my boyfriend has been known to explode at extended exposure to wind pipes and anything but a 4:4 rhythm. The food includes things like burgers but then you can also find Vietnamese salad on here as well. The standards are pretty good — would recommend if you have a group of you with a variety of tastes and can’t decide on where to go. If you plan to go then go to their website as they often have 2 for 1 type offers on — just print out a voucher sort of thing.

This restaurant chain with dishes from around the world is a firm favourite of mine. I visited the Cabot’s Circus branch recently with friends and we had a wonderful meal. My two friends and I chose dishes from different countries of the globe, without realising, but it meant everyone was happy. I had the duck noodle stir fry, which was endless and amazing, really flavoursome. The smoothies are pretty great from here too. The chocolately desserts from here are also not to be missed. This is great quality chain food but with choice.

This is a smashing place to eat, whether as a pre/post-movie destination or simply dining out for the evening. The service is attentive and welcoming, yet unobtrusive we were greeted by very friendly and chirpy staff who are happy to engage in banter. The décor is warm and modern, and the ambience fresh and laid-back against a backdrop of zesty Latin and African sounds. The food is something different, offering a menu inspired by world cuisine with no-frills presentation. I had chicken and lamb meatballs with brown rice which was delicious, and my girlfriend’s barbequed ribs are some of the best we have ever tasted anywhere they just melt in the mouth. They also offer a lovely Swedish strawberry & lime cider that is highly refreshing. Desserts are equally tempting I went for a divine cheesecake that was covered in chunky chocolate chips. The only thing I could fault that on is it would have tasted better with milk chocolate sauce instead of dark chocolate! All this for a very good value price between the two of us the bill came to only £42.19. The bottom line is we felt really satisfied and happy as we left for our film, and the positive experience enhanced the evening. A highly recommended venue where I shall definitely go back to. Whether you’re in a bunch of friends, a family or a couple, Giraffe will provide great food in pleasant surroundings.

Hadn’t heard of this place before but was meeting an old friend and he suggested me meet for food. The restaurant on the upper floor of Cabot Circus is spacious and would easily hold large groups of eaters! The choice on the menu ranged from Burgers to Mexican dishes. As I was there for Lunch I had a Beef, Bacon and cheese burger with«Skin-On» chips. The portion was adequate although have seen bigger burgers in Wetherspoons but a drink was included for £6.95. Staff were friendly and obviously local going by the strong Bristolian accents! Would recommend having lunch or a bite to eat before Cinema as it’s pretty much next door.

I went with a group on a Sunday afternoon. We decided to go there since the menu looked interesting and one of the ladies had her 1 year old in a pram and we needed somewhere child friendly to eat. The staff was welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The food selection was quite interesting-I had a dish that was sort-of Japanese, another had one more Mexican and another a burger and chips. All the food was of excellent quality, and they were even able to adjust one dish for the lady with a lactose intolerance. Even the drinks were of an ecletric mix, from unusual teas to alcohol. Though we were too late for one bargain meal and too early for another(the 5 – 7 special), the prices weren’t outrageous, especially considering the amount and quality. The only downside was that the music was a bit too loud, which is fine if you are just eating, but not if you want to chat to more than the person next to you or across from you. I would happily go again!

Excellent burgers, decent size portions. The staff were nice and helpful, and willing to move us around to accomodate a large pushchair. Unfortunately the giraffe time menu is very limited, so while the cost conscious side of you is looking at it, the part of you that wants nice food is looking elsewhere. It’s a shame, as it means it ends up being that bit more expensive than other places, meaning I’m less likely to go back.

Giraffe is a new arrival in Bristol and a welcome one. It is situated on the top floor of the new Cabot Circus development alongside House of Fraser and Nandos. It is very family friendly(no objections to mothers nursing in here) and clearly set to be a favourite with young families, although they were not the only patrons when we were there and in fact there was a very wide range of people enjoying the carefree atmosphere and great food. It does feel a bit cramped and is very noisy but that is all to the good as it felt busy without being too hectic. The décor is nice but the seating incredibly uncomfortable. The food was excellent — very well presented and lavish in quantity. There is a definite Mexican bent to the menu and it is done well and very tasty indeed. The smoothies are highly recommended too, if a bit on the expensive side or maybe they felt that way as they were just too delicious to savour and so didn’t last for long! The child menu is impressive too and moves beyond the usual tiresome junk food to offer such delights as veggie sausages, mash and peas which my young son really loved. The chocolate and raspberry sundae is also a highlight. The staff were friendly and really nice but they did take their time somewhat, which is fair enough when food is freshly prepared but we were left hanging around a lot in between courses and then again when we asked for the bill at the end. Giraffe was reasonably priced(£45 for two adults and a child) but would be even cheaper if you used their ‘Giraffe Time’ menu which costs £6.95 for two courses(huge helpings) and is available from five until seven in the evening.
