I’m a sucker for Greggs chicken bakes and their split cream doughnuts. Cheap, cheerful and tasty.
What I like about this Greggs in particular, is that going past in the morning on my bike, I can stand at the door without having to go faff around locking up my bike and give my order and they’ll take that extra 2 steps to bring me my change. Its such a small thing, but that friendly service and convenience makes a huge difference when you are rushing to work in the morning but craving something tasty for your breakfast.

This branch of Greggs bakery is famed for its queues, which can often be seen spanning out of the door and onto the jewel that is East Street. Exceedingly popular with the locals, Greggs boasts a range of cakes, biscuits, sandwiches and rolls for stupidly cheap prices. The quality of its produce leaves a lot to be desired, but you’d be a fool to expect quality at those prices.
