Jones the Bootmaker is a one-stop shop for families to get long lasting shoes to fit everyone. Whenever I go into this Cabot Circus branch I always chuckle to see at least two generations getting booted at the same time. The staff in this branch do well go cope with the pressure of a busy shop, so don’t go in expecting to get one to one treatment.
They seem to specialise in making quite sensible shoes — even the high heels have thick stoppers on the bottom (perfect for clumsy idiots like myself). Not quite as trendy as Office or Schuh but at least you know that they’re bound to last a good few years. Even though you probably won’t leave with much change from a £50 note, I think their shoes are really good value.
