Lee’s Fish Bar is actually a Chinese takeaway that also sells some traditional fish and chips. It’s alongside a few other takeaways in a small rank of shops on Station Road in Kingswood.
The rice was served in the same container as the main dish. So, if you ask for prawn sweet and sour, the rice comes in the same plastic container. This means the rice gets soaked in with the sauce. This isn’t very pleasant, particularly with the gravy type sauces.
The chicken chow mein was OK-​ish. Not particularly well cooked. Most dishes just seemed to be thrown together quickly, without much care.
Lee’s Fish Bar is one of the most expensive Chinese takeaways I’ve been to. The chicken chow mein was £6.50. That’s more than £2 more than some in Staple Hill, just up the road. It’s not good value at Lee’s.
