The long bar is… well as the name suggest’s… long
Thier is a great feeling within the pub as it has lots of character and charm, possibly due to all the old advertising they have on the walls.
Unfortunatley it seems that not much of the youth of Bristol have found this place, so if your a student you could be forgiven for thinking you’ve reduced the average age by half!
The selection of ales and ciders is pretty impressive, and there are a couple of good booths to sit in and enjoy your drink. They also show live sports and the atmosphere is always good if there’s a game on.

I strolled into Long Bar at the start of a cider crawl of Bristol (oh the joys), but thank goodness it wasn’t the last stop on our tour, as we’d have been sorely disappointed. It’s a teeny bit grimy and a wee bit scary — there’s a super selection of ciders and perries but there’s not too much more I can recommend. You have to fight to get into the place through a crowd of smokers and the snooker tables take up much-needed seating space. Good for an extremely swift pint before you head into town and certainly commendable for its local vibe and celebration of all things apple-y.
