I have used the academy for hair cuts for a couple of years now– not tried other services so I can’t comment on those. The quality of service does vary from student to student; some are quietly focussed, some salon– type «chatty», some are nervous wrecks! You never know from one appointment to the next what the session will be like. You do need to allow extra time — but the tutors are always on hand and often get in to demonstrate or start the students off, so you always get a good cut in the end.

Are you in need of a haircut? And I don’t just mean a run-of –the-mill trim (although I’m sure this could be arranged) but a state of the art, funky haircut. Not only will your mop receive maximum TLC at Reflections Training Academy (I’ve spent 2 hours here being fussed over) but you’ll only have to pay a fiver.
As you may’ve guessed, this place is run by trainee hairdressers who are assisted by professionals in cutting clients’ hair. So although you are essentially a guinea pig, in-the-know professionals are always at hand to help out if necessary. However, my many appointments at this place have always resulted in total satisfaction on my part. Sittings are during term time only, at 9.30am or 1.30pm from Monday to Thursday.
