Now quite often if something has the suffix ‘express’ I feel a bit daunted. It conjures up ideas of quality being sacrificed for speed, and a Domino’s Pizza vibe — a faceless speediness I loathe.
That said being the daring journalist sort I am I picked up the phone and called in a Madras. As I’d expected at the very least the timing was on the dot. Just as I was about ‘tsk’ the driver being late my door bell rang. It was then that I realised I was being too over critical and sat back to enjoy. The food is delicious. Creamy yet not too much so, lots of vegetables and good cuts of meat. I like things a little spicier but then I should have ordered a Vindaloo!
The breads that came with it were a little dry but then I was in a very critical mood! All in all I was very impressed and definitely recommend them.

Spice Express serve up some pretty tasty curries, myself and my friend visited the shop only the other day & we were really really pleased with what we were served up. Our only grieviance is the fact that these guys don’t have a restaurant because we felt that we would have enjoyed our food double the amount in the typical curry house setting, but hey we can’t always get what we want can we? The food genuinely really was great, the guys working behind the counter were cheerful and helpful which is always an added bonus when visiting the take-​away. We give this place a double thumbs up.

This isn’t a bad curry place at all, in fact it’s quite tasty. The food can be a bit on the greasy side, but it is a takeaway, after all — so don’t expect restaurant quality and you won’t be disappointed. It’s not badly priced, so it’s basically a cheap and cheerful fix for any curry craving you might have. It can get busy at peak times, so you might have to wait a while for the delivery if you’re ordering between 7pm and 9pm, but it usually doesn’t take too long. Certainly worth a look if you can’t be bothered with the hassle of a restaurant. Bare in mind that it’s closed on Tuesdays, however.

A pretty good take away and delivery service.
If your in a rush and can’t be bothered to wait for that Asda better buy rice to boil, or are getting fed up with Morrison’s curry sauce, or even if old Uncle Ben doesn’t seem to be satisifying your taste buds demands then Spice Express can help!
A small phonecall away, and a free delivery later and you have it on your doorstep, an indian takeaway that will hopefully kill your cravings for a few hours!
