A Bristol based organisation, focused on raising money for its two hospices in the city, St Peter’s Hospice has charity shops scattered across Bristol. This shop is large, and donations tend to be of good quality, and plentiful. I’ve bought many a retro birthday present from this place, and they’ve all been much appreciated. My best buy to date was a Moody Blues album on vinyl, with a jaw-dropping psychedelic sleeve — this cost me 50 pence! I’d strongly advise you go and have a rummage…

St Peter’s Hospice has about 50 shops in the Bristol area, all raising money for the charity which supports and looks after adults with a terminal illness. Average little charity shop with selection of clothes and some bric a brac.

This is a great little charity shop located on North Street in Bedminster, South Bristol. All the clothes are in good condition and they have quite a good book section too — which is ideal if you like reading novels but don’t like the prices of the main bookstores! They have a small toy section where you can sometimes find some nice toys and games for little ones and there is the odd bit of bric a brac too. The shop is always clean and tidy and is mainly staffed by volunteers. Remember to take your own bag so you dont need to use one of theirs — save the Hospice money and the environment at the same time!
