The daughter and I paid a visit recently, and this is a really nice little pub. I had a tasty piece of pie, and a pint of Dark Star Hophead, both of which hit the spot. It’s a little bit out of the way, but not too badly so; give it the honor of the short walk!

A tiny pub and possibly the smallest in Bristol. It’s also sat opposite the GWR building but don’t let that put you off! It’s a pub from the Bath Ales stable and that’s always a sign of good quality. On my recent visit it had 3 Bath ales along with Butcombe, Ashton Press cider, and a few lagers. I’ve not eaten their personally but the plates I’ve seen coming out having always looked good to me. It’s always been an unusual pub and prior to it’s recent refurb it had loads of 1970’s chewing gum cards on the walls, whereas now it’s gone for a more jazz/chilled vinyl pub vibe which appears to be in the spirit of the guy who runs it. It’s a shame as it’s off the beaten track but if you’re real ale fan you should check it out.
