I honestly thought i was going to die out there! The carts are in a condition i wouldn’t put my worst enemy in, and the dog in the car park which i assume was the old boy owners dog was a beast! barking at us and chasing our cars in and out of the place. Dont even get me started on the toilets!!! although things seem to have improved on the briefing front reading the other review we did get a full briefing and they were out with flags.

I visited West Country Karting as part of a discount deal — £15 for 100 laps — good thing I didn’t pay any more! The track and karts are both in very poor repair. Track surface is dire even by outdoor standards with potholes and extremely rough surfacing throughout. The track itself is basically an oval with a small chincane and kink in it at one end — not exactly challenging and makes for a not very exciting 16 seconds per lap. The«fleet» of karts consisted of 5 that were actually in running condition, of the 4 myself and friends used, 2 had no working brakes, one’s engine kept stalling, and one had a wheel shear from the axle during racing. Not exactly what you would call serviceable. I was shocked to receive absolutely no briefing before getting into the karts — whether this was due to time constraints or the fact that myself and friends had stated we’d karted before I don’t know. Either way this is totally unacceptable for a track to allow people on with no safety briefing whatsoever. As cheap and dangerous as it gets, worth a punt if you want to have a laugh at a comically bad track.
