Entering this place, seems like gets you transported in the by gone eras of Bristol. The ambience is, yes, still, Victorian. The location is superb. And, so are the veggie Sausages and the Chicken Tikka Masala Curry. So, that you can connect to the rest of the world, while you dig in your plate, there is free wi-fi. I will say, it is a value for money place.

I ordered steak and salad which appeared with no salad but loads of chips and peas! my hhusband had the mixed grill both priced at 7.49 including drink, the waitress quicklying sorted out my meal and it was delicious! The steak was perfect and my husband’d mixed grill was also excellent, must be best value meal you can get!

Another Wetherspoons, another chance to wait for half an hour before you are served, another suspicious-looking plate of fish and chips, and another way to get completely plastered for under a tenner. This Wetherspoon is extremely popular with locals and you won’t find many students here. Get there early on a Friday/Saturday night if you want to actually eat the food you order rather than still be hungry at eleven o’clock.

This is like most other Wetherspoons — can get very busy at weekends. It is good though if you like cheap booze and maybe a cheap meal. Food is nothing to write home about but at the same time is fine if you just want Something to eat rather than a romantic meal for 2!

The Wetherspoons on Corn Street is converted from one of the old banking establishments. The Wetherspoons on the other hand has been converted from a carpet shop so is nothing more than a boring beer hall. It’s not the best Wetherspoons and the nearby estate has resulted in a selection of the clientele not being the best either. The stupidly cheap beer means it’s nearly always busy and I’d avoid it on Friday and Saturday night. The beer they sell is good and they normally have at least 6 ales available so if you want to sample them it’s probably best to get here early.

I always visit weather spoons when I need a nice cheap meal and a pint. The good thing is that they are all over the place. The ambience isn’t great but who cares for the cost of the meals and drinks.
