The best ribeye steak I have had ever. Few places have steak aged over 28 days, but this place does. 10oz rib-eye … £22.95 Served with skin on fries, grilled plum tomato + garlic roasted mushroom and one of the below sauces; Peppercorn * Piri-Piri * Aioli * BBQ * Garlic Butter Also, salad bar included. My wife had: Crispy buttermilk chicken burger, brioche bun, house mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickle + onion w/tomato + chilli relish + skin on fries … £10.95 She really loved the succulent chicken. My stepson had a pizza, not sure which one. With drinks. I had a cloudy lager which had a citrus taste, and I acquired a taste for it by having two pints. It was £5 per pint. Wife had wine by the glass(125ml) which was unsually cheaper than my beer!!! Total bill came to £70 for 3 of us. Staff members were attentive. Had a refit inside, don’t know when, but still has that fresh smell. Good selection of ales. I’d be going back…

My favourite kind of pub. Off the beaten track, the drive their being equally as enjoyable as the pub itself. Located in the small village area of Stoke Pound I believe this pub had just recently undergone a transformation. Like all good pubs there is plenty of parking space, and immediately on driving into it you realise this is more than just a pub. Actually it is not really even a pub as such, more of a restaurant with some elements of a pub. I only saw the inside from my walk through to the back beer garden. It sits adjacent to a Canal and makes for a nice picture. I came here for a friend’s birthday and his wife had arranged the use of the tenteepi at the back. Yes a tenteepi, i had never even heard of it previously but just imagine a huge teepee. We had food and service throughout the evening and the staff put up with us for the whole of it with a smile and a good sense of humour. Really enjoyed this pub and will go back to review the actual restaurant side of things.

Great food with excellent service in the newly refurbished Queens Head has impressed us so much we have been back twice since first visiting just a few days ago. A wide and varied menu with a quality wine list as well as some good real ales caters for every’s needs from a light bite to a full meal. Oh and the cheese board is a must.
