This place must be doing something right to be so popular on a Thursday lunchtime — the service is definitely NOTTHATTHING! The menu’s not bad — although you are definitely paying at the more premium end of the café spectrum. We both went for eggs benedict from the brunch menu after not being inspired by much on the lunch one. The place was really busy and we had to wait a minute to get a seat but the service was just a non-functioning joke. Drinks arrived 10 minutes after ordering them. Food was pretty prompt and definitely pretty good. We waited 20 minutes for the bill, then another 5 to pay, tried to pay at the bar and were told that wouldn’t be any faster. Staff genuinely seemed to be avoiding the restaurant floor and dodging eye contact from the customers. Yeah it was busy BUT… was this the first busy lunchtime they’d ever had? Always gets me when places are understaffed at their peak times…

Went here for breakfast on a few occasions on my recent trip to Marlow because it was recommended by friends. I tried a few breakfast dishes: Oatmeal — good, but I wish it had come with a larger portion of fruit(I got less than ½ a cup and it didn’t even fill the little ramekin in came in). Mediterranean brunch — delicious! Loved the avocado and halloumi cheese in it. Fego breakfast — lots of food and very filling! Overall I enjoyed it, but it was definitely more expensive than I would usually spend on breakfast.

Good food(esp. the burger) and good coffee too, but you need a mortgage to buy most things, so not an everyday lunch stop for me.

We visite Fego’s a couple of weeks ago. We went for breakfast. I agree it was probably a bit expensive, but we liked the fact that everything had been freshly cooked. Food was excellent and the service was also good.

Fego is the little café that replaced Bonny’s in the High Street. Personally I used to love Bonny’s, as I found it friendly and very reasonable. Well I went to Fego for lunch and was astounded that a wrap was £9! I would expect these prices for a nice restaurant, but not café in a small town. I have also popped in for a chai latte which recently has gone up in price from £2.25 to £2.75, which is more expensive than Starbucks across the road. Needless to say I will be avoiding this café from now on, I just find it a shame that there is no longer any nice cafés in Marlow.
