Matalan

everytime i go here we end up spending a fortune on clothes as everything is so reasonable on price, and in there sales you can pick up bargains for as little as £2 for an adult pair of trousers. the quality of the stock is great too.

Matalan in Burton is located in a complex that also contains the Cineworld cinema. It is a very large store and as a result feels spacious and uncluttered. Primarily it stocks a vast range of clothes, which on the whole are reasonably priced and of a decent quality, a good source of bargains! The overall quality of products I feel has steadily improved over the years.
There is also a decent sized kitchen and home area selling kitchen utensils, duvets, storage and ceramics, to name but a few. They have recently added a card shop in this area too. As you go to pay in Matalan, they try to tempt you with easy grab objects like DVDs etc, a classic marketing ploy. Matalan also provides you with a voucher for two hours free parking.

This is a really good size store and is nicely spaced out so you can shop in peace. The store is sometimes very untidy and has a bit of a weird smell but the clothes are cheap and they have a great selection of items at reasonable prices. The childrens clothes are great but they seem to have limited choices available for toddlers.

Can’t be faulted it for value.
I can afford to buy a shirt and throw it away at some of these low prices.

Cheap shop that has some good things but also has its bad. I dont like a lot of the suitcases they stock, maybe about 4 – 5 at the most, the clothes however are good but sometimes lacking in quality.

this new and improved matalan is a much needed update from the old one! with plenty of room and great priced bargains! ideal if you finish work late as it is open til 8!

this is a great store with plenty of choice for men, women and children. there are clothes, shoes and even gifts. the type of clothes on offer depends on the season of the year. there are very nice clothes here and at a great price.

This matalan is great because it is very spacious and has a fantastic selection of kids, mens and womens clothes together with household items and gifts. I noticed they have dvds now as well near the counter. There is a big car park so you will never struggle for a space and with the evening opening times it is brilliant for late shopping. Plus in the evenings it is not as busy so you can have a proper look around. Make sure you take your matalan card as you will be asked it for if you purchase anything. Also look out for the reduced rails as there are some fab items to be had for next to nothing.

Matalan is one of my favourite shops to go to after work as it is open ’til 8.
The layout is cleverly done so there is a big space when you walk in the doors so you can look around and decide which department you want to shop in first.
The changing rooms are spacious. The shelves are always neat, tidy and well presented. The refunds desk are always very helpful and convenient.
They will also give you 2 hours free parking if you ask at the till when making your purchases.
