Stopped into this place after the Bushmills tour.
We ordered the Fried Cod Supper. It was definitely a full filet. And a huge tray of fries. Served ‘Five Guy’ style; all in a grease proof bags.
The chips were really good! Fish was good albeit served in a tray of oil.
If in town and craving fish’n’chips, this should be your destination.

I’m sure there were other eateries in Bushmills, but in the short time I spent there, I couldn’t help myself — I went to Flash in the Pan for dinner two nights in a row!
Oh God, their battered cod was delicious, and HUGE! One piece was enough for two dinners. But I had to go back again for their chips — I just could not get enough of the garlic-​y vinegar-​y flavor, YUM! Had to wait a few minutes for them to fry it up, but so well worth the wait.
I have never found fish and chips as memorable since.

We conducted a head to head comparison of battered cod between Flash in Pan and Hip Chip across the street for lunch after visit to Bushmill Distillery before heading to the Giant’s Causeway. FiP offered thicker/​juicier cut of fish while Hip Chip offers a crunchier and more flavorful batter. Four of us sampled both and no one really greatly favor one over the other. It’s a quick and simple meal, you cannot go wrong with either.
