The décor and the furniture of the venue fits well with the tex-​mex theme.
However, we had a Lonestar starter plate for two persons, which was quite nice. The main courses, chicken + beef Fajitas were too salty and the seasoning too dominant. Overall, the portions are quite big and the price average as well as the food.
The staff was very unmotivated and did not pay attention to their customers although just three tables were occupied.

i went to the lonestar tex-​mex bar. it was fantastic. lovely staff that made you feel so welcome which made the atmosphere as good as possible i went with 7 other people who also said what a fanatstic night it was with food. i had a chicken burrito with no chilli’s, peppers and muchrooms as i don’t like them i was abit worried incase they wouldn’t do it. but they was brilliant. hats off the all the staff and i definately would recommend them to friend’s.

we were at our friends 21^st birthday party at lone star and it was brilliant, there was 19 of us, we arrived at 8pm we ordered drinks at the bar, there was no wait really as the waitress joined the bar man (who i think is one of the owners) to help with our drinks. we were all given menus and sat down, i had a bottle of sol with lime in it very refreshing as it was fairly warm in there. we all ordered i shared a combi for 2 with me mate, there was spare ribs stuffed jalepeno peppers with sour cream spicy chicken wings nachos some sort of mushroom dips and salad with a garlic bread.delicious.the mains came out straight away, a bit to quick if im being picky as i could of done with all that food settling a little. I then had a monkey gland steak which isnt monkey but a huge steak and spicy chutney sauce, it was good very good. my only criticsim was it came with a massive plate of fries salad and vegetables (how your meant to eat all that i dont know-​but i did a pretty good job) none of us had desserts, but lots more drinks tequilla slammers and jack daniels. this place had a great atmoshere and the staff were very friendly and efficent. well done lonestar and thanks for a great evening

not bad as the staff were friendly, some of the food was a little bit dry ans swarmed in sauce but the décor was good and its right near the opera house so very handy!

Lonestar is a really nice restaurant which has a range of both mexican and american food. The staff are nice and its a great atmosphere. The food is ace & the portions are huge!

Lovely friendly tex-​mex restaurant and the food is always great and you get lots of it! Nice atmosphere with great staff. Sorts of foods include burgers, fajitas, burritos.
