Little worth drinking here unfortunately .Had to put up with an overpriced half of Caffreys Cold. The food menu looked interesting though. I always appreciate something that is not quite the norm, like(in this case) Chicken Tuscany and also four curries to choose from. Two stars I wouldn’t go back. The other pubs in town are better.

The Irish Tymes is an Irish-themed pub found at the top of Caerphilly town. Situated right near the train station, this pub was formerly and perhaps better known as The Railway pub. The venue’s current incarnation has seen a good deal of success since reopening a few years ago and is regularly busy on weekends, despite having an over-25’s regulation in place. The interior is quite spacious and there is plenty of comfy seating to chill out and relax if you don’t feel like propping up the bar. They regularly have live bands playing on the weekend which gives the pub a lively and fun-filled atmosphere, and the friendly staff make it all the more appealing. They serve food daily and boast great value for money as well as a fairly quick service; which is a real bonus if you’re feeling hungry. They also serve a great Sunday lunch, which is a firm favourite among regulars. Decent pub, well worth a visit.
