Excellent service. Food delicious– Smoked salmon Eggs Benedict with perfectly poached eggs, fresh salmon and delicious zesty hollandaise. Not overly large portions, but excellent value for money and free tea/coffee with any breakfast.

Wonderful place to hang out at lunch time, relaxed atmosphere and not crowded like the chain coffee shops, it serves good, tasty food which is reasonably priced. The barista also knows how to make a good cup of coffee which is among the best I’ve had in Cambridge.

Came in here on a Saturday afternoon to get some work done. Quiet atmosphere, looked like a good alternative to the crowded nearby coffee shops. On reflection, the lack of a crowd on a busy Saturday should have been a clue. Don’t bother ordering a cocktail here. The alleged piña colada was bland and watery, with plenty of unblended ice remaining in the bottom of the glass.(This latter was a mixed curse; had they succeeded in blending it fully, it is doubtful that even the faintest trace of the presumably-artificial coconut flavouring would have remained.) Wireless is free and surprisingly fast(12Mbps download, 768kbps upload), but disappointingly unreliable; if you don’t know how to bypass a DHCP server by sniffing network traffic and then manually configuring an IP address, then don’t expect it to work for you. There is no sign of available power. Despite the«free wireless» advertised in the windows, this really isn’t set up to be somewhere you can work comfortably, which leaves me wondering why it stays open all afternoon.

As others have noted, the cocktails are definitely the best thing here — I particularly like the Lemongrad which is perfectly tart. The place is always packed, and so the seating outside is perfect when the Cambridge winds aren’t blowing. The food is so-so. They used to do a couscous and goats cheese salad which was yummy, if not way too big, but there is a good selection of other things. The evening staff are fantastic, but I would say that the lunch time staff have always been a disappointment, if not verging on rude. It’s like they don’t want you there. And I have been practically on the verge of picking my diet coke up off the bar counter, after watching it sit there until it was nearly past its sell-by-date. All in all, a must for the evening, but avoid for food unless you run out of other ideas.

Hmmmm … Must say, I tend to disagree with the 5-star, kid-glove treatment of Ta Bouche. Don’t get me wrong — it’s a fine place for a pre-party cocktail, and it’s fairly centrally located so it tends to be a pretty good meet-up place before heading off somewhere else. But as a destination? You can do better. Tends to be overcrowded with hipsters and freshers and altogether too much hair gel. Drinks aren’t particularly cheap nor good. Service is pedestrian at best. In short, a fine pit-stop, but not a destination.

They make really great Harlem Muggers and there’s two floors, although you’ll want to go early if this is your pre-Cindies bar of choice.

My love affair with Ta Bouche began in the summer of 2006 when I studied abroad in Cambridge. My first night at Ta Bouche was magical. Magical! I do believe it was love at first sight. The drinks were delicious, the bartenders friendly, and it was obvious that Ta Bouche is just a great local joint. From that night on, it quickly became our usual spot to start or end the night. It gets crowded on the weekends, but the bartenders are always quick. They make the best White Russian I’ve ever had! That was all I drank for weeks. Plus, they also serve lunch as well. Any newbies in Cambridge must stop in for a few drinks. «Ta Bouche» = «your mouth»(in French, for you dummies) so do your mouth a favor and go to Ta Bouche. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Great place to meet friends to have a night on the town! Very small, but a little more room in the summer, as you can spill outside. Lunches during the week are very nice and very trendy. Take a look!

Delicious cocktails are served at this popular venue, close by many restaurants and clubs in town, making it the perfect place for a post or pre dinner drink. The cocktails are very good, although no different to many of the other cocktail venues in town. They are averagly priced for cocktails, and like many other venues offer two for one deals at certain times each day, making it cheaper than going to a pub for a glass of wine(and much more exciting as well!). The music is often a little too loud if you were hoping to have a chat with friends, and after 9 o clock it gets pretty busy, meaning you have to be quite pushy at the bar if you want to get served quickly. Also, there are seats outside which are very nice in the summer(and for those smokers among you). All in all a very convenient and friendly place to come with a drink, but if you were looking for something with a bit more character it would be worth going elsewhere.

I heart ta bouche! The best thing about this place is the razmapolitan which is an absolute must. By day a classy and reasonably priced café/bar with seats outside in this quiet and relaxed area just off market square. By night a great and unpretentious cocktail bar within striking distance of a few cambridge clubs. Its also a good place to find out about funky local music and sometimes you can buy tickets to DJ events from here.

Ta Bouche has several plus points– firstly the extensive cocktail menu(v reasonably priced if you go during happy hour, and even more so if you have one of their cards, which entitles you to 25% off everything.) The atmosphere and décor are great, with a pretty even town/gown balance, and in warmer weather it’s lovely to sit outside(who says you can’t have cocktails at 11am?) During the day it’s also a café, with particularly delicious soup and also a good range of cakes.
