Captains Cabin

As keen skiers we have been loyal customers of Captains Cabin for many years as we liked to support a local business. However last Christmas I was given a Helly Hanson base layer by a relative that was purchased from this shop. Unfortunately the top was the wrong size, I went back to the shop to exchange with the debit card receipt but the staff were extremely rude and they refused to exchange the item because we did not have the till receipt despite the fact the item was clearly purchased at the store. This year I returned to the store to buy a relative a ski helmet as a gift. The girls in the store were totally uninterested in serving me, when I explained that I would like to buy the helmet as a gift but would need the option of returning if it was the wrong size I was abruptly told that this was not an option. Whilst the shop offers a good range of products and historically we have found the service to be good our recent experience has been very disappointing and if you expecting any level of polite service or customer care go elsewhere.

Ski/​Snowboard and camping specialists. All of the staff are well up to speed with the latest equipment. If you want to buy ski boots I would well reccommend going here to have them fitted. Ski boot fitting is carried out by well trained staff who now what they are tlking about. The boots can also be adjusted to your individual foot shape. Clothing and equipment can be rented for a weeks hoiliday.
