Hedgers are fantastic. Most of their meat is extremely local, without the stupidity of the organic movement. They will prepare anything for you — you just have to ask. Beautiful lamb racks, boned loins, huge fore ribs of beef, fantastic goat legs, game, exotic meats such as kangaroo, ostrich, and others on request. And of course their sausages are to die for.
They are not expensive and offer great value, you get exactly what you want perfectly prepared and aged.

You pay a little extra but it is worth every penny. The taste of the meat is better than any you will find the supermarket and I would say just ahead of any other independant butcher in canterbury.

It’s good to see an independent butchers still thriving in Canterbury and they still seem to do a good trade.
There’s not much you can say except excellent meat and good customer service.
Their pork pies and black pudding are particularly to be recommended.
