Who would have thought that I would be excitedly scouring the internet in search of something like Ronseal’s Isoflex, a high performance liquid rubber which forms a permanent flexible waterproof coating on roofs? Well, not me for one! But fate had a different idea… and fate won! When your roof has sprung a couple of leaks in the recent bad weather,(did anyone else see those raindrops the size of field mice last week?), then the idea of finding something that can fix the problem becomes an exciting proposition… especially when you are absolutely clueless about these things… which I am! I am also a little distraught, as I had just had the carpenter in two days beforehand, installing New England style panelling in my bedroom, and the two leaks had water pouring down the walls… well dripping… but even so!!! The panels aren’t painted yet and so I’m half expecting them to start warping and pinging across the room!(My carpenter assure me that this is unlikely to happen). Celtic Tools have this product listed right next to something called Black Jack, which I was sorely tempted to consider… I’m a sucker for names… but have opted to be pragmatic rather than impressionable! My roof needs fixing… fast… and so there’s no room or time for being fanciful! Celtic Tools doesn’t look much in reality, but it has an impressive web presence… and they supply a whole lot more than just tools. I found the Isoflex roofing repairer under the ‘building supplies’ heading.
