Been to the Pafiliwn, the big tent in the centre of the Eisteddfod field many times. It has always been an experience. I have been on stage here a few times — for the ceremony Wales and the World, presenting Germany. This was before I moved to Wales, of course.
In Meifod, I went to the opening of the Eisteddfod with my friend Sian, I witnessed the crowning and the chairing in Colwyn Bay, saw Bryn Fon in the Eisteddfod on Anglesey, Dafydd Iwan in another Eisteddfod. I went to the Pafiliwn in the Eisteddod of St. Davids to see some competitions. I saw Siann Cothi performing in the pafiliwn. I have many, many memories of the pafiliwn.
It is great to see the pafiliwn in Cardiff this year. I remember a big tent like this only when the Eisteddfod yr Urdd was held here in 2002 to which I went almost every day.
