The sign tells you everything you need to know, «Dry Cleaning» in simple black letters on a white background. Freye Dry Cleaning keeps it simple with a no nonsense, frill free model that gets the job done. Who cares if the interior of the shop looks like something for the Soviet Union circa 1983, you pop in, drop your stuff off and are out of the door quickly, what with the speedy yet friendly service they provide. You may think this no frills approach might be replicated in their treatment of you garments but I handed in a suit and tie a while back that I’d managed to slather in garlic butter(bit of advice, never ever order mussels after you’ve left the beer for the shorts) and they sorted it all out for twelve quid. Freye’s offer same day cleaning, have a three item of twelve quid offer and will sort your duvet out for a very reasonable rate. Recommended.

Freye Dry Cleaners is primarily aimed at the student market, the whole presentation is shabby and cheap. This is a business that forgoes the usual shop fitting and opts to the lower end of the market. Adds in the windows such as 3 for £12 are all plain and cannot compete with the more professional look of TopHat dry cleaners. Special offers on duvet cleaning obviously aimed at the student market considering it’s location and the 20% student discount. The staff are friendly and helpful, however my personal choice with an expensive item of dry cleaning would be to go to TopHat.
