Ibis

I had to stay here back in the winter when it became apparent I wasn’t going to make it thought the snow to my house. Its just off the M4 so convenient for business travelers, though its really not the nicest hotel so don’t expect the Ritz! It does have internet but I couldn’t get mine to work and they don’t have a press or that kinda of thing.
The good thing is its cheap, you can get a room for the night from about £26 although its 9 miles from the city centre so not an ideal choice for tourists. They even allow your pets to stay too.

This is a typical chain hotel, once we arrived we had no problems. Staff were pleasant, although not over friendly or over helpful. We chose this hotel because it was inexpensive compared to other hotels in Cardiff but we now know why! It is quite far from Cradiff City Centre and is not very accessable if you don’t drive. We had a nightmare finding it, as it is on a buisness park there was no access that we could see other than via the dual carriageway. If you are driving you will be fine, but if you’re relying on public transport, don’t bother it is too far from the centre and miles to walk to the nearest bus route!
