A fantastic family run Chinese restaurant. My family have been using it for a good few years now and wanted to finally leave a review on here. Food is always great and can recommend the Salt & pepper ribs, crispy shredded chicken. Service is always great and friendly. A nice relaxed palce to dine with friends or family. Take out or even eating in we use love this place and will continue to do so in the future.

If you’re a Chinese place on the same road as The Swallow, your business model has to revolve around one of two things if you’re going to survive: being so mind-blowingly exceptional at what you do that you actually manage to surpass The Swallow, or offering customers something that The Swallow doesn’t. Lee Garden opts for the latter choice, providing a menu that offers an extensive range of dishes that veer away from the standard Chinese fare of noodles + rice + lemon chicken. Instead, they have a menu that, besides the standards, also offers a selection of less anglicised Oriental dishes. If you are looking for a standard Chinese, and know exactly what you want, go for The Swallow. The food’s better there. If you’re a little more daring and want to take your tastebuds on a test drive of some new flavours, try the Lee Garden. Even if you don’t enjoy the food, you can at least say you’ve tried it.

Lee Garden is a popular Chinese and Thai Food Restaurant that offers a really impressive range of food including; Peking, Cantonese, Szechuan Chinese food as well as Thai and Malaysian cuisine. Whilst it’s pleasant enough to eat in, I have mainly patronised them by using the take out menu, especially when trying to accommodate the tastes a large group of people. They have the most extensive menu for far Eastern food that I’m aware of in Cardiff, and so it’s a no brainer who I recommend when we are trying to order for five or more people… it cuts down on the quibbling! The fact that they are open seven days a week also makes them pretty dependable. Being popular, they get pretty busy at the weekends and so delivery times can be erratic. They give a 15% reduction in price for collections, and they tend to process your order a lot quicker if you collect in person. I advise everyone to pick up their food if possible, especially if it’s a large order. I’ve only eaten in once and enjoyed the experience. We needed a table for two at 8.30 on a Saturday night, and luckily didn’t have to wait too long, despite not making a reservation. We wouldn’t have been so lucky if there had been more of us. It’s probably best to book on any night of the week, and is definitely advisable at the weekend. There’s two numbers to call: 2920462388 2920486288 Unfortunately, there’s no website, which, considering the extent of their menu, would be really useful. They have a well printed, four leaf take away menu that you can call in and collect when you are passing.

I got take away from here before, it all was given very fast and the presentation of the resturant was nice but the quality of the food is not good. I won’t be coming here again.

Lee Garden is a small Chinese restaurant with a big heart, I don’t quite know what that means but it was a great trip all the same. The service here was top notch, I cannot say enough good things about the delightful staff, so friendly. The food a swell was probably one of the better Chinese I’ve been to in a long time, everything was just incredibly flavoursome, I couldn’t stop mentioning it as I stuffed my mouth. The price was great for what we got as well and came out with a big belly and a huge smile.

I’ve eaten in here once quite a while ago and I remember it being really nice. Since then me and my friends have become fans of the takeaway menu. You can get great set dinner boxes for around £6 — £7(recently gone up from £5-£6) — like sweet and sour pork, beef and black bean and egg fried rice — which is a pretty good deal for all that food. Some of them have a starter and then a main meal, again it’s good value for money. They did used to do the dinner boxes in better trays — recently they seem to have been putting everything in together, however it’s still good food. There is a large selection of dishes on the rest of the menu too, they also do some thai meals like red or green curry. My friend and I both ordered takeaway from here one Saturday night seperately — I collected mine and it was ready in 10 mins, she asked for hers to be delivered and it took over an hour! So if you can collect then it might be a better idea on busy nights!

Great chinese food. Get it here! It’s important to go on the weekend. Wednesday onward is great. Saturday in particular. The king prawn coconut curry dish is particularly good. They give you free prawn crackers and dips — result! And with the mixed hors d’ourves you get a little salt statue of budda! Don’t lick it — that’s how i know it’s salt! The spicy chicken wings are amazing. They also do take out.
