Ocean

Like most girls will appreciate moving to a new city and having to find a new hairdressers is tough. For the first six months I would travel home to Essex to have my hair done.
Until… A friend recommended Ocean to me. I booked in for a cut and blow dry and was pleasantly surprised.
This salon has its own receptionist which is a nice change from the junior umming and arrring down the phone to me. (Which usually happened at my last salon).
On arrival I was met by a lovely young lad smiling profusely and offering me everything from tea and coffee to a foot rub. ;-) I was taken to my stylists chair and treated like a princess for my entire appointment.
Tea and coffee was served with a biscuit and after my hair appointment the stylist went through hair techniques with me which I thought was lovely added extra.
Paying the bill was also hassle free, with the receptionist knowing exactly what I had had done.
All in all a fab experience! I will be returning as soon as my roots have another argument with my ends!
P.S I was kidding about the foot rub!

Ocean hair salon on the Wellfied Road in Roath is an award winning hairdressers, that consistently achieves fantastic results, along with all of the associated recognition that a dedication to excellence attracts in this industry. Their prices are, as you might have guessed, pretty steep, but nothing compared to a commensurate service in London… it’s all relative I guess! There is a sliding scale, depending on which stylist you choose, and everything is open and above board, with free initial consultations available. It’s all pretty transparent, which suggests a real confidence in what they do, with no apology for charging a little more than most. They know that they are worth it.
There are going to be some major changes this summer, involving a refurb, as well as modifications to the business practice. Should be interesting!!!
