Pets at Home

I don’t have any pets myself but when my sister got her very small but very cute puppy I decided to show willing and treat it like another sibling!
As I would with any other newborn I went out on search of a little present for her.
Where do you start… surely any old ball or piece of rope would do the job nicely. But no… a puppy needs a toy that will ‘enhance his senses’. Blah blah blah!
I new Pets at Home was in the bay so I headed there with a fiver in my pocket to see what I could buy.
And the answer is… Nothing! Well nothing worth having for under £5 anyhow!
This shop is like a toys r us for pets. From dogs to cats to hamsters you name it this shop caters for it!
I ended up spending over twenty quid on puppy toys which to be honset I thought was a rip off… but Suzy (the pup) seems to appreciate all of the toys I bought her… so every cloud and all that!
I am now Suzy’s favourite aunty which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!
The shop sells everything you would ever need for a pet including food, bedding and cages!

This place is HUGE and excellent for everything animal related although they may not stock all the food you may want — although if you are lucky to live in the UK you can order on line and still pay UK prices.

This isn’t the biggest Pets at Home but its my nearest so most frequented. Its in a handy spot being in the same area as Ikea and Asda. I can tend to the whole house in one go.
Shop wise they welcome your pets along and also have a vert based at the store so if you have a bit of a worry about your pet or getting one, then you can try and get your questions answered. It doens’t have a lot of the bigger stuff that the Newport road branch does like giant fish tanks and rabbit hutches but it does have a selection of small rodents you might like.

Pets at home is a large pet superstore, having most of what you could need for your pets under one roof. They stock everything from pet food to homes. There is always a good selection of animals and fish on display. The big car park shared with the adjacent shops means there is always lots of parking. There is also a vet located at the back of the store.
