Nice place. So many options and large portion however it was too pricy. Not worth the price though. Abit bland for me. Food was freshly prepared and was sizzling which is a good point. Coffee was good.

So many combinations of toppings to choose from, and the pancakes are enormous, although they should be for 4 – 5 quid a pop. Also, they are open to around 10 most nights I think, which is great if you’re after some dessert. Overall a super little place.

Oh, it’s so naughty to go in here, but I just can’t help myself. Now seriously, pancakes, I love them, I believe they are the best thing on earth, so this place really didn’t have to do much to win me over. Just the pure fact that they are a pancake house instantly dictates my adoration. This little box sized pancake house is hidden in the centre of Brewery Quarter. It is very small but seeing as it manly made of glass, you can see out and feel like you are dining amongst the rest of Brewery Quarter. Right, the pancakes, there are so many pancakes, savoury pancakes, sweet pancakes, pancakes with fruit, sweet sauces, just everything, it will take you a while to decide which one to opt for. You can also get an array of hot and cold drinks with your pancakes, a perfect way to eat your afternoon away. The only bad thing I have to say is that normally when I eat in Brewery Quarter in one of the many restaurants, I’m always too full for a pancake, I think this little beauty of a café should move to a more central location away from those competitive outlets.

Sweet tooth? Feeling naughty? … If you answered yes to the questions above then you HAVE to take a trip to The Pancake House. The Pancake House is situated in the middle of the brewery quarter. It surrounded by restaurants so can I suggest you go to a restaurant for your dinner but then skip the dessert menu and opt for one of these bad boys instead. Made with fresh ingrediants while you wait, you can pretty much have any filling you like. Some days I go for a traditional sugar and lemon other days I go wild and enjoy a pancake dripping in chocolate. It really depends on how naughty I am feeling. The shop itself is quite small but when busy I would describe it as being snug rather that cramped. Everytime I have been here it has been very clean and the staff have always been welcoming

The fact that society only deems it acceptable to gorge yourself on pancakes is an absolute sin. It is an injustice right up there with OJ Simpson and the Eighties. Thankfully, some enterprising genius has decided to fight the powers that be and has created the accurately titled«Pancake House» in order to ply those delicious sugared wares all year ’round. And for this, he should be worshipped as if he were a minor god. Sat in the middle of Cardiff’s Brewery Quarter, this unassuming little building could easily be overlooked as an information desk or some ridiculous, pretentious little café. However, the glass walls are all the advertising this store needs, as a quick glance inside reveals a tiny little shop that is almost the epitome of a quirky, tasty treat shop. With a range of different flavours, you’re guaranteed to find something to tickle the tastebuds(umm, duh? It’s a pancake shop). And, surprisingly for such a unique store of its size, there’s very rarely a big queue or a struggle for seating so you can get your snack in relative comfort.

I ended up here with some friends when we’d had supper in La Tasca but didn’t fancy anything on their dessert menu. With the Pancake House sitting right opposite, shouting about its fantastic selection of sweet pancakes, it was the obvious choice. It’s a little glass box of a place, squeezed in amongst the big restaurant chains, but despite being small it doesn’t feel claustrophobic because you can see out from virtually every angle. A group ordered about seven pancakes just before us, so we had to wait quite a while for ours to arrive — but we could see the staff dashing about trying to serve everyone as quickly as they could, and it didn’t matter to us because we were in no rush. They offer both sweet and savoury fillings, with classic and unusual fillings, and the pancakes are BIG! Between four of us we shared a ginger and vanilla ice cream pancake and a classic sugar and lemon pancake — both delicious. Great place for a snack or dessert!

The real travesty about this place is that I’ve only ever visited it once. I’m quite sure how this has happened and probably be thankful I don’t, as I’d probably weigh as much as Wales’s entire forward line. The Pancake house is a very small unit right in the middle of the brewery quarter. Housed normally by just the one staff member you will always get a personal service. I went for the coconut shavings and chocolate pancake. Now, the size of this thing is astonishing. It was as large and round as the chalk line for Elvis’s body. There is no hyperbole in my my next statement when I saw it took me a good half to shuffle round and finish it. Being hungover as well just made the whole thing 20x to 22x better too. I haven’t often seen the place packed so I don’t I’d need to warn you about peak times etc ad not being able to sit down. This is a real gem and a slightly hidden one at that. You should check this place out if you have a bit of a sweet tooth.

In amongst the big chain restaurants and bars of the Brewery Quarter is this unusual little shed. They can only seat about 20 people at a time maximum, and they only serve pancakes and drinks– but that’s all you need. There are a decent range of pancakes both savoury and sweet to choose from and even in a 1 hour lunch break you can still get a 2 course meal every pancake is large, nicely presented, with very fresh ingredients, you get to watch them cook it. Simple but effective. Bear in mind they don’t take credit cards though.

Out early? Up late? Fancy something sweet, savoury? There are so many places to go in Cardiff to grab a quick snack but why not try something new? The pancake house located in the centre of the brewery quarter and it is the perfect place to chill out for a few minuets and have a tasty snack, they have a wide range of pancake dishes on their menu and just sitting and watching the staff make your very own pancake before your eyes is mouth-watering enough! With a modern look of glass walls and sleek interior it feels so comfortable and spacious even though being a small building, I always like going here when it’s cold when all the Christmas lights are on and the warm glow of the pancake house welcomes you in with the fresh sweet smell of sugar and lemons hitting you as soon as you enter this little treasure!
