Threshers is a great place for discounted wines spirits and general alcohol. They run continuous deals on beer crates or boxes.
The place that almost all students end up for party supplies. The alternatives usually do not run offers or a good selection. Have a large selection of wines that are particularly diverse.
The shop is simple and you should not leave disappointed. They have student discounts and this can make a real difference to your bill.

As a rule, I wouldn’t go into Threshers. I should make that: I wouldn’t have gone into Threshers. I don’t know why I particularly felt that way because they’ve never done anything to me… I think I had the impression that it’d be a little snooty and expensive.
Gosh, I was so far wrong. First of all, it’s actually quite cheap. I mean, it’s cheap in general but they also seem to have regular offers running to make your alcohol money go even further!
The staff at this particular branch were also really nice and helpful when I asked what I should go for (I’m not really a wine person normally). I was happy with the whole place, though it could do with having a little more room as I was scared I’d turn quickly and knock over a whole load of bottles…

A conveniently placed Threshers with on street parking right outside. The proprietor really knows his stuff without being condescending to his less knowledgeable customers. Felt like a really valued cutomer, and would definitely go back for advice and a chat!
