Gaze

Nice surroundings, very helpful staff menu very confusing I had salted chilli squid starter very very good, main was very dull and average shame after good start. Again wifes duck starter great but main average. good hint just order a load of starters.

Gaze restaurant has high ceilings and looks like an industrial workshop rather than a Chinese restaurant. But the leather seating and plush interior dispelled any thoughts that I would need my tool belt rather than my chopsticks.
This is not an exclusive Chinese menu, there is offerings from all over the orient including Thai, Korean and Japanese cuisine.
In my opinion the staff the evening I visited were extremely helpful, even teaching me to use the chopsticks properly. I would recommend the Japanese stir fry for s main course. But I will definitely go back to sample the rest of the menu.

Gaze is a fab restaurant for trying out new dishes, as it incorporates just about every form of Asian food out there — Japanese, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Thai, you name it, Gaze has it. And, if that’s not adventurous enough, they will happily cook you a variation of one of their dishes, or an entirely new one if you so desire. That’s why I decided to branch out and try the relatively unknown dish of chicken with green peppers and black bean sauce…
Seriously though, I have had the ukon noodles and the ramen noodles before and they were scrumptious. To be honest, the black bean dish was not as good as I expected, and certainly not anywhere near as good as I’ve tried before. Therefore, my recommendation is that you go for an alternative to Chinese food at Gaze. The Malaysian curry was particularly recommended by my friend, and another companion was highly complimentary of the Pad Thai.
The service in Gaze is really second to none. The very first time my boyfriend and I ventured into the brand spanking new restaurant, we waited less than 5 minutes between placing our order and having the food brought to us. Incredible. I’ve been with 7 friends, and the service was still of a very high standard.
Gazing won’t help, but «Gaze-​ing» most certainly will…
