Not a bad random lunch here at all, in fact I was so desperate to get out of the house after working in my home office all week that I just wanted to get somewhere new and enjoy some tasty fodder in a communal setting. Situated between Stockport and Cheadle, look out for the ‘Hare’ sign and nip down the road to find a lovely little country pub with plenty of outside seating. I think I’m right in that the MH is part of the Mitchells and Butlers ‘Vintage Inn’ brands and the food shows — it’s all great effort on the menu but you know it’s all paint by numbers behind the scenes and a bit chainy. I enjoyed their brie and bread starter(could have done with a bit more bread tbh) and their beer battered halloumi(bit too much batter, would be better like a tempura) and chips was nice if still fairly standard. There was a good range of beers on offer, some nice bottles and there seemed a great environment of banter and middle aged folks catching up. Staff were also very friendly. I’d happily pop down here again for lunch or a few drinks mainly due to it being so close to my house. Not a bad option if you live nearby but nothing WOW in terms of quality of the food.

This place is great, nice big car park, good sized outdoor area, very tasteful done up inside, staff are really friendly and welcoming, drinks are reasonably priced, the food prices were ok but absolutely worth the money, you could probably accept paying more, very very tasty food and good sized portions too. If your looking for somewhere for a family meal or just a date night this definitely a good place to come to

A lovely pub which also happens to be my local, great surroundings, pleasant clientele and staff. Food service can be a little on the slow side at times and the bar can also be a little undermanned for the size of the pub, but with a fantastic selection of frequently changed guest ales I won’t complain! Plenty of seats and little alcoves to hide away in makes for a lovely atmosphere inside, always a pleasant place to go, it does operate normal pub hours however so it’s pretty much doors locked at 11.

The March Hare is a chain pub, no matter how much it tries to pretend it’s not. I feel sorry for the March Hare because it is down a road behind an old disused garden centre/ocasional gypsy breeding ground If you have the nerve to go down the road you will be met with what is a genuinely attractive little pub with a decent car park. It has two separate outdoor seating areas, one on grass(dogs allowed) one on decking(no dogs allowed) Inside the pub goes for the whole pseudo modern/retro pub design with wooden chairs, church candles and baroque picture frames with victorian illustrations inside. The menu is a pub menu have no doubt, but they have special menus for lunch time featuring cheap sandwiches and wraps which I found it pretty hard to argue with. I have had the falafel wrap which contained a pretty satisfying amount of falafel and a lovely yoghurty minty dressing on the side. It is not a haunt for local youths who all tend to go to the Wetherspoons up the road so you can come and have a nice quiet time. There is music and it can be quite maudlin(Sting features heavily on the rotation) and they have a really odd selection of beers in that they have bitters, milds, Staropramen and Peroni on draught but no bottles of becks :((WHYWHYHWJEFLKDSFJ) The staff are friendly and young and it’s always packed on a Sunday for the dinners so I’m assuming theyre good or cheap.

Delightful Pub/Restaurant serving good quality pub-grub with a wide selection of drinks. The service is excellent and staff are friendly. The sunday roast is delightful and the main menu is also excellent. If you like deserts try the sticky toffee(with praline crunch) pudding it is simply the best i have ever had. The outside space is generous and the atmosphere tranquil. When the weather permits it is lovely place to sit in the sunshine with a nice drink listening to the babbling brook. The pub has a Friendly atmosphere there are several cosy quiet corners the perfect place to unwind after a tiring day or just when you want a treat.

The March Hare is a lovely little pub which is slightly hidden away in the Cheadle Hulme area. I’ve been here a few times with work colleagues and I’ve never been disappointed. The food is excellent and fairly reasonably priced, as are the drinks. They have quite a selection of beers and wines to try out, although I wait til after work for that! In the summer, there are plenty of seats on the decking area for you to enjoy the sunshine as you eat, and despite being near a busy town, it’s very quite with some nice views of the nearby brook Atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming and the staff are all very nice. if I had to give this place a negative comment in anything, its the fact that your food can be slow in getting to you if the pub is busy. Otherwise, a fantastic little boozer.
