Tried this Pizza Express just before Christmas 2010, It’s all the usual Pizza Express menu and it’s cooked to the expected standard and therefore is generally very nice. However, and its a big however!!! I don’t know whether we were just desperately unlucky but as far the staff go it must have been amateur night! It took forever to be served, in fact we had to go and get our own menu’s and then sat and waved frantically to get someones attention for a drink order.
The main course took ages to arrive and we had to wait for our waiter to finish his pizza before we got ours! He didn’t seem impressed that we gave him dagger looks whilst he ate his pizza and ours went cold. And the tut and sigh we got when he didn’t get tip was almost laughable…
It’s always busy and being in the town centre gives it a prime location but next time my family and I want pizza it won’t from this Pizza Express…

If you like Pizza then this is a must visit. The service is great and the Pizza is out of this world.

Light and airy restaurant sited on the outskirts of the town centre.
Food is very good, especially for kids, and the service friendly and helpful.
Very popular, so advisable to book if there are more than 2 of you.

Pizza Express is located on the pedistrianised part of Moulsham Street and enjoys a great city centre location. It has the standard Pizza Express décor both in and out.
The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is usually a free table but be warned it gets extremely busy so you may wise to get there early. There is a waiting area with comfy sofas if required.
The restaurants has two levels. Couples and families tend to be seated downstairs where the open kitchen is found towards the back of the room. Groups and overflow are put upstairs where the cloakrooms are.
The menu is standard to the chain. The food is generally good, I would recommend the pizzas. The price for food is reasonable. Hot, soft and alcoholic drinks are sold but are expensive for the quantity you get.
Toilets are a bit of a pain to get to via a spiral staircase.
I would recommend this place for group bookings.

Best pizzas in town! The pizzas taste genuine Italian and are never greasy. The food is brought out perfectly cooked and nice and hot. The staff are friendly and helpful. The store is very smartly laid out. I come here for birthday parties often and fitting in a table for eight people is never a problem at short notice. The prices are fairly decent especially as the quality is so good. The desserts are very tasty especially the chocolate cake and cheescake. The toilets are always very clean. The restaurant is very comfortable with a great atmosphere. I recommend this restaurant to all my family and friends.

I love the pizzas in Pizza Express. The fiorentina one (with egg and spinach) is my favourite. The bases are light and crispy and not at all greasy.
Whenever I have been there the staff have always been friendly.
