This store is based just outside town near the Army and Navy roundabout. It has a large free carpark but people take advantage of this and use it when going into town thus sometimes making parking difficult if you just want Homeplus. This is a one-stop non-food shop selling Electrical, clothing, toiletries, homeware, entertainment, computers, craft bits, books and lots more. They have lots of tills and 4 self-service ones but at busy times you do queue. A huge range at great prices. Do not always find staff on shop floor but do have a customer service desk where normally helpful. Toilets. Based over two floors reached by travel escalator. Costa coffee shop.

This store is located on the side of the town, you can park in tesco store car park for free for 2 hours as long as you buy something from the store. This is because people park here and walk into town which is right next to tesco. Its not a bad size tesco, its also has a pharmacy which is very handy. They have plenty of tills and self scan tills too. You never have to queue to long in here. It also has 3 cash machines outside and a photo booth inside which comes in handy.

This store can get very busy as it is the only place to food shop in the town centre apart from marks and spencers. There is a carpark owned by tesco next to and above the shop with free parking for 2 hours there are usually spaces on the top floor with lifts or stairs to get down. Sometimes they run out of small trolleys as they get left upstairs in the carpark. There is a small clothes section(go to the home plus store just up the road if you are looking for something in particular) and a pharmacy. There is a really yucky toilet in the far corner behind the checkouts but it always smells(worse than the lifts) so don’t use it unless you have to.

Tesco homeplus ok although I personally prefer Asda. The Asda Home at Lakeside is brilliant Although it’s a big store they don’t seem to have much of anything. Not that many clothes, not that many tv’s etc etc. I think Tesco are trying to take over Chelmsford
