2nd time not a charm. We used The Cheese Works with success to send a gift for family in the UK. The first order was very good and enjoyed, so it was easy to return to the same online ordering for a 2nd gift. Sadly not a great experience, the cheese was the Oxford Isis arrived in a plastic bag and smelt so foul it ruined the other contents of the gift box. In talking to The Cheese Works they acknowledged the strong odor of the cheese and were slightly apologetic in a «that’s a shame» type way. Wait until they can ship items properly and don’t expect any customer service. We will not be a return customer.

MEILLEUR GORGONZOLA DU MONDE
alors que je n’aime pas tellement le gorgonzola d’habitude…
Sinon, un peu plus élaboré, mon collègue m’avais conseillé cette fromagerie, on prend le temps de nous servir, de nous faire gouter, de nous conseiller… On est repartis avec 3 cheese locaux super bons et donc ce gorgonzola de la vie…
Et je n’aime pas tellement le gorgonzola d’habitude.

This is a lovely little cheese shop not far from the Promenade in Cheltenham. They carry an amazing selection of cheeses from all over the world. Most impressive is a massive tub of gorgonzola which they scoop into a smaller tub rather than paper when you buy it as it’s so gooey. They sell Hobbs House bakery bread which is really good quality and they also carry lots of cheese accessories such as biscuits, chutneys, china and knives. They are friendly and knowledgable too.
