Carvery £6.95 good value & the staff were nice & friendly. The main menu was very expensive compared to other pubs.

A nice clean pub with a nice atmosphere. We ordered 3 caverys the food was ok but the gravy was really thin though, Best thing about the Treble Bob at the moment is the offer on San Miguel only 2.50 a pint !! catch it while u can

After taking my partner out to find local carvery food in the area we came across this place while going to dobbies garden center, we decided to give there carvery ago since we had not eaten all day and thought it would be a good place to eat as it seemed busy, once seated by an unpefsional host asked us what we wanted to drink which we orded a orange and a sparkeling water we was made to wait 20 mins before even getting our drinks, think we could get up and get the carvery we was asked to keep seated until the cheff wanted us to come up for our food,(what kind of carvery wants you to wait for your food) at this point we were ready to walk out and go to mcdonalds across the road. we were called up after been ther 45 mins, i looked at the meat and asked how it was cooked as it looked dry, the chef said in an oven, i asked what type of oven he said a standed oven. his attitude was out of place. he carverd my gammon and i went on my way down the veg, everything looked nice but not the gravy it looked like rats pi£s, when getting to the table we proceded to eat the food, carots where cold and hard, the leeks where in a bitty valouttie source what tasted rank, the new potatoes where still hard in the middle, and the gravy well that was cold and a horrible brown colour on my plate. when going to pay it all come to £16. 50 for a meal i didnt enjoy, i told the lady about the food and she said well everybodys tast is different. well if they want to keep customers coming in they want to get a chef who can make gravy, keep the veg hot, and be polite to there guests. needless to say me and my partner will never go back there again. mcdonalds has now got our custome as we know we get better service from there.

Fawlty Towers Rides again. Located next to an Ibis Hotel — Excellent easy parking. It is a largish and clearly modern building with a traditional look to it though. It is very much in the style of a Chef and Brewer or if you’re old enough to remember — a bit like a Berni Inn. Fairly typical, average pub fare along with a carvery. The serving of food however is somewhat patchy — called in Thursday evening for a meal and not untypically I was told that only the carvery was available — the Chef was apparently in Egypt and the assistant chef was leaving on Saturday so he couldn’t be trusted to cook. These quaint responses are very typical of the place — The only thing missing is Basil — Call before you visit to make sure they’ve a chef or even food in the fridge.(yes — I’ve had that excuse too)

Its a really nice pub with good food and a family atmosphere. It has a big car park. There is a range of vegetarian meals, which a little bit different from most pubs’ boring selections. I wouldn’t recommend going there for a drinking session, it doesn’t have much of a lively atmosphere, and you have to drive to get there; it’s not near any houses.
