Slightly laid back from the A27, in fact, you could miss it and that would be a shame. Absolute ACE of a place! Used it when Bob and Jane had it some years ago but, as good as they were, it can’t compare to the standard now.
There is a Tasting night on Oct 21. and you would not be disappointed with the quality of food or staff. Gourmet Dining at its’ best.

This is a fantastic restaurant to head to for a nice long lunch which we do on many occasions. The garden is beautiful and when the weathers good, its worth trying to booka table out there.
The food is excellent and has been praised quite a bit by the Sunday Times. The Table d’Hote Menu is what we usually go for and is only £21.00 for 3 courses which I think is really reasonable for food of this quality. Try the soup of the day to start and if its on the menu, the duck confit is fantastic.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Abend im Cassons, das sehr zentral direkt an der A27 liegt. Trotzdem bekommt man im Restaurant vom Straßenlärm nichts mit, und insbesondere abends ist das Ambiente sehr stimmungsvoll, gefördert durch die geschmackvolle Einrichtung und Beleuchtung. Cass ist ein fantastischer Gastgeber, der unterhaltsam und kompetent für die Bedürfnisse seiner Gäste sorgt. Das Restaurant bietet eine gute Weinauswahl, gerne hilft Cass auch wenn man sich unsicher ist. Ein besonderes Plus sind die etwas kleineren Weinflaschen (0,5l soweit ich mich erinnere), was mir sehr entgegenkam, da mein Partner Antialkoholiker ist und ich somit ausnahmsweise mal nicht nur auf die offenen Weine ausweichen musste. Das Menü war wirklich exzellent und für das Gebotene und dafür, dass man in England ist, waren die Preise wirklich in Ordnung. Mittags gibt es auch sehr günstige Lunchangebote, die ich allerdings nicht probiert habe. Daneben finden ca. einmal im Monat Themenabende statt, auch damit habe ich leider keine Erfahrungen gesammelt. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert wenn man in Chichester und Umgebung zu tun hat oder auch wenn man auf dem Weg in den Südwesten daran vorbei kommt.
