warm welcome as we walked in. it’s our anniversary today, so wanted something special. food was absolutely 150% yum-elicious. 7⁄10 for the service, but in truth, we were only there for the food! :)

Oh Three Crowns! I’ve waited eight years to write this review! So glad Unilocal has finally crossed the sea to reach you! I discovered Three Crowns while working as a consultant in nearby Swindon one summer. This cozy pub was the«go-to» spot whenever the team needed a break from our normal routine(hotel food or late night kebab trucks). Particularly memorable was the«Taste of the Wild”– kangaroo, ostrich, and venison. The meat wasn’t too gamy, and cream sauce was amazing! The homemade desserts are also fantastic. They even have a proper English cheese tray that they roll right up to your table. The Stilton I tried was far and away the best I’ve ever eaten. And cheese for dessert! Boy, the British sure know how to live! It’s a lovely drive into the countryside(including some sketchy single-lane roads!) and well worth it once in a while to splurge on a great meal!

Three crowns is a pub/restaurant located in chippenham close to swindon. Its one of my favourite spots to eat out on special occasions. The pub serves a variety of really tasty exotic meats like crocodile, venison, ostrich and kangaroo! if you are into that. I personally favour the half duck served with redcurrent jelly/cream sauce and topped with mouth watering fresh english strawberries and finished with a dessert of homemade strawberries with melt in your mouth champagne ice cream. yummy!!! definitely worth trying!(For those who are not keen on meat) There are also an assortment of fishes freshly caught and cooked to order on the day. The dishes come served with a selection of at least 6 fresh vegetables. The prices are pretty modest for the good quality fresh food you are getting plus the fact that you go away with a full stomach. it is advisable to book 3 days — 1 week in advance though especially if planning to dine at weekends as its so popular and does indeed get very busy at those times.

Recently visited for the first time due to a friend’s recommendation. We booked our table in advanced as we were advised that the place gets busy at weekends. The food is lovely– gastropub. I had pork tenderloins with crispy cheese dumplings, others in our party had locally smoked chicken, wild boar and king scallops. All the dishes were served with 6 seasonal vegetables. Desserts were also lovely including cointreau cheescake, sticky toffee pudding and strawberry and champagne ice cream. The main dishes priced up on average £17 and desserts were £6. However i believe this to be good value for money and would recommend you visiting.

Village Pub offering great food and atmosphere. Food is a little pricey but for a special meal is definitely worth it. The quality is the same every meal. And you will not leave hungry
