Another yawntastic chain restaurant that exhibits as much creativity as an episode of Hollyokes. Infact if you like Hollyokes this place will probably be right up your street, I don’t however. To dislike a place like Café Rouge is a bit harsh, it does what it says on the tin, which is provide bog standard food to suburbanites who lack imagination, its just that I don’t like the tin.

Having eaten here a few times, I can say I’ve always been pleased with the service and the food, although as it is a chain restaurant you know more or less what to expect.
There are several table on the pavement in the front of the restaurant, which is great for sitting outside in the Summer and watching the world go by.
Service has always been polite and efficient, the restaurant is often busy at peak times but I’ve never had a problem with the service.
The décor is pleasant with a traditional but warm feel to it, the toilets have always been clean. Generally the ambience is good and I would not hesitate to eat here again.

Good atmosphere. I have eaten here twice, both times the food was excellent. Coffee is well worth having, the puddings looked very tempting too. A good place to go for a good quick lunch. Service is excellent.

This is a nice branch of the chain and a firm favorite with my partner (he is particularly enamoured of the smoked fish crêpe starter which doesn’t do anything for me but he seems to like it!)
It can get a bit busy in the evenings however the staff seem to be friendly and pretty on to it. While the menu doesn’t change that often, they do have some very nice specials. Also their coffee is very good.
