Tigers Head

Great location tucked away behind the royal parade in Chislehurst. They do a great Sunday roast, but it gets very busy, so get there early.

Wen es in den wilden Süden Londons verschlägt, sollte im Tigers Head vorbei schauen. Es ist ein traditioneller britischer Pub mit Ales, Sunday Roast und niedrigen Decken. Zudem gibt es einen großen Garten, man kann also auch draußen sitzen. Deshalb hat man bei gutem Wetter auch bessere Chancen, einen Sitzplatz zu finden. Gerade am Sonntag, wenn es traditionellen Sunday Roast gibt oder zur Curry night am Donnerstag, kann es schon mal voll werden und man wartet eine Zeit auf einen Tisch.
Die Bedienung ist super freundlich und es ist sowieso ungewöhnlich, dass in einem Pub am Tisch bedient wird und man nicht zur Bar laufen muss.
Tigers Head ist barrierefrei, aber es gibt keine barrierefreie Toilette.

The Tiger’s Head is a lovely traditional style pub with an extensive menu and a friendly atmosphere. There is always a specials board too, which means there is always something different to choose from.
I ate here yesterday, and as always, the food was excellent, the service was friendly, though on this occasion we had to wait quite a long time for the food but this is unusual. It does tend to get very busy at mealtimes so be warned! At times they have to stop taking orders for food because of the popularity.
Prices — about average for drinks and slightly above average for food but well worth it.
Not a lot of parking on site but there are plenty of residential roads nearby where you can park easily.

This pub is a firm favourite of mine. I have been here countless times and have been happy on every occasion. There is an extensive menu which tends to be quite creative. It is not your standard pub grub. One of the nicest Thai curries I have ever had was here. It was with King Prawns and was cooked to perfection. There is a great atmosphere all year round. In the summer they have a great beer garden and in the winter there are big open fires that you can sit around. You have to grab a table first then order at the bar. There is a good selection of beers and a fantastic wine list. This is good value for money.

Delightfull Pub to eat and relax in, food is exceptionaly good– I ordered a chilli flavoured noodle dish topped with red snapper-​wow. My partner had a steak, both cooked to perfection. The guest ale was a blueberry flavoured beer, subtle and smooth, too smooth ! Went down very easily! Excellent wines available and a wide choice. Efficient friendly service from the staff, food didnt take too long to arrive. The ambiance was nice no music, which was ideal as it is the sort of place that doesnt need it. The only problem is that you have to get there early as it gets busy quickly at the weekends. Log fires too– what more could you want.

This pub is very popular — we have only been a couple of times but it can take a while to get served. (that said we did go on the weekend) Also we found the food to be rather unremarkable which is a shame as it looks like quite promising — and given the standard of other restaurants in the area, we expected a little more competition.
In short a nice place to hang out in but I don’t think I would make a special trip here for dinner.

This is a very lively pub indeed. It serves good food and drinks, and there’s never a lack of company. If you’re a local you’re bound to meet someone you know. Although the set up and décor of the pub isn’t anything special, the staff and atmosphere are. Once you’ve been you will keep going back and can spend hours there just talking. The prices are average and it’s a nice place to take the kids at the weekend. I wouldn’t recommend visiting if there’s a football match though (unless you’re a fan) it just gets too loud.
