First visit was Tuesday night before Ben Folds at the Palladium. Went with the Pineapple fried rice… amazing! Loved everything about the dish. The presentation in the pineapple boat was awesome, and the flavors were so bold. Definitely ‘won’ the dish competition with my husband!

So, so good! I’ve only ever ordered delivery, but I’ve been delighted with each order. My fave dishes on rotation are the Yum Crispy Tofu salad, and the Tofu pancakes. Deeeelicious! Usually very speedy delivery, to boot. No complaints, here.

Cheap and cheerful Thai food. The prices are what you’d expect for an ok Thai restaurant, the décor is bright and tidy but as it’s a small place it does feel like they’ve crammed in as many seats as they could get away with. It can get very crowded on weekends but as a mid-week dine-out meal it’s perfectly recommendable(they also do takeaway).

‘Budsara’ have two branches, one in Fulham Road and one on Chiswick High Road. I have never eaten in this branch but have had food delivered a number of times. Firstly, it is a few doors away from another good Thai restaurant called ‘Boys’ — which I rate slightly higher overall than ‘Budsara’. If you were going in and getting a takeaway(I am too lazy and usually just have it delivered!) the SMART option may be to get a couple of dishes from each place as they both do certain things better and have some variance in the menu. The Fish Cakes served here are good compared to the rubbery ones at ‘Boys’. The«Phad Kra-Praow» is a nice spicy dish I usually have with Chicken. The Green Curry is certainly good but always seems lacking in sauce and does not have the depth of flavour I crave. The«Phad Mhee» — stir-fried egg noodles with beanspouts are done better here than in most of the chinese restaurants in the area. Service has always been fine on the phone, from the delivery person and on the one occasion I went in for a takeaway. RECOMMENDED!

Can’t fault this resto for flavor balance but for some reason, I find the flavors aren’t quite close to authentic Thai. It is also expensive compared to its neighbor ‘boys’ and ‘yupa’(also on Chiswick but a bit further down the road).

This is one of my favourite restaurants in London. I must say this was also my first restaurant after moving here. Maybe that’s why I find it so lovely. The food is good and fresh, you can even see them chopping the ingredients and the staff has been always lovely. Cons? It’s a bit tiny and going to the toilet is like climbing Mount Everest, that stairs should be banned! But overall, I would go again and again. I have a friend that every time she comes to London, I need to take her here. Oh and sticky rice with mango is amazing(if they still have it, last time the didn’t).

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. We have been there twice for dinner with our two kids. My wife and kids liked the place but I found it to be average. I am a big fan of Thai food and I thought the green chicken curry was just so-so. The Tom Kha soup was really good and the rest of the dishes were fine. There aren’t many kids friendly options if your kids cannot deal with spicy food. That’s a bummer. I can’t say that it is my favorite Thai restaurant of all times but not the worst either. Service and food preparation is very slow(and that’s an understatement). You will need to waive to get their attention and I simply don’t get that. Overall, it is ok. Not fantastic but not bad.

Ate here again on Friday night, and oh-my-god: pumpkin and chicken red curry. It was an actual food orgasm. And again, it was like highway robbery when the bill came.

I am glad Robin has given this place a three star, because then that means the average will be 3 and a half, which is what I think it deserves. We went for lunch and we were the first customers in at 12pm. We weren’t sure if it was open or not as the staff was dining in one of the end tables. Fortunately it was. The waitress greeted us with a smile but maybe a bit annoyed that we interrupted her lunch. The other thing that was a bit of an experience buster, was that they were delivering the beer, and the door was opened and closed about five times, it was very chilly. I was under the impression deliveries were made out of working hours. Anyhow, my dish was lovely, had the steamed mussels with a chilli and lemongrass sauce, my husband even said it was the first time since he can remember that my dish was better than his(complete lie, mine are usually better…) In addition as a starter we shared the prawn steamed dumplings that were just the right size. Finally, the waitress was in a better mood after she ate and by the end we had a chat about how cute her apron was, she said they came from thailand and were handmade. I like the relaxed vibe of the place and food is not pretentious and is not expensive(£25 in total). When I come back I will probably have the same because it was so good!

Good Thai food in a clean and tidy but small restaurant which thankfully improved after taking out the bench seating arrangement that made it feel like you were at school. Replaced by a normal table and chairs, it works much better which means you can have a bit of privacy if you so wish. For me it is a place to dip in, get fed and go on somewhere else, a bit like the wagamama experience and I couldn’t see you making a night of it in there. Overall cheapish, good service, food on time, lively atmosphere and the food is good. If you want to spend a bit more time enjoying a meal and taking your time or for a romantic interlude then my advice would be to find somewhere else.
