Nando’s

Always busy but never have to wait to long for a table, food is always good, not had a bad nandos in this branch, staff are always polite and helpful.

It’s a fairly small Nando’s but the chips are the best!!!
Staff are great too and plenty of free parking.

I have a love/​hate relationship with Nandos. This one is tripping distance from my house, which could be a disaster… I’ve managed to nearly fill a loyalty card already. Mainly on takeaway though…
I love the chicken. I could eat a whole chicken. Seriously. It’s delicious, even in hot version which takes me some time and a cold beer to be able to get through — they’re not lying when they say spicy. The sides are good too, especially the sweet potato mash (though it’s a ‘posh’ one so costs a fortune).
My bugbear is the gimmick. I do NOT understand why they hire people to bring plates, take plates, bring menus, takes menus, bring desserts… but not take an order. It’s STUPID. I hate queuing in the middle of the restaurant, and getting a receipt and a wooden chicken on a stick. Also, they use it as an excuse to bring the food at vastly different times thereby letting some people’s meals go cold. It’s unnecessary.
But. the chicken is a bargain, and many a time has a whole chicken take away saved an evening from jam on toast for dinner. So I’ll continue to frequent this place. Frequent being the operative word.

I know a Nandos is a Nandos but this one makes the most delicious chicken I can smell it from quite a distance away as i am on the way home. This is my local one the smell is irresistible so is the food. so check it out great service as well. The lemon chicken is my favourite along with spicy rice and sweet potato mash. This is a popular branch it is always busy in the evenings. Not so much before that unless it’s a weekend. Helpful and friendly staff.
