Kismet Takeaway is a great addition to the offerings around Crawley.
Aside from the occasional lunch «specials» at a few of the local Pubs, the Kismet Takeaway is a great value. Paired with a can of beer from the Brew takeaway across the street… you have a tasty, satisfying and affordable meal.

This place has a good reputation with people reportedly coming from all over. The owner, Zulkuf Demir, has been operating this literal «hole in the wall» for decades.
The menu is not very extensive, but everything is prepared fresh. The usual varieties of doner kebab with chili and garlic sauce and chips, as well as standouts like the house special are all great value, high quality, tasty and fresh.
I had the house special, a small chips and a bottle of water for £8.50. It was an enormous amount of food and extremely messy — in other words, just what the doctor ordered!
If you’re driving, Kismet is on the pedestrianised area, and hard to find using GPS.
