This cosy café caters mainly to the discerning workmen of the area, taking away aromatic bacon or sausage ‘buns’ for £1.60 or steaming cups of tea or coffee at £1. I must admit as I walked I supressed the urge for bacon, instead opting for a large mug of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream, at £1.60. The ladies working there were very friendly, and I didn’t feel out of place being the only customer sitting in. They said that most of their business was take away. I wouldn’t have fancied trying to eat out the gorgeous looking pasta dishes which were on offer. I couldn’t resist taking two of the cakes with which the counter was laden away with me, and having eaten the fruit cake, I’m glad I did. I have just moved this from 4 to 5 stars remembering how much I enjoyed my visit. An all day breakfast comes in at £3.95, as does Sausage, egg and chips.
